In June of 2015 the exhibition “Poesia Agora” (Poetry Now) brought the works of almost 500 contemporary poets from all over Brazil to the Museum of Portuguese Language in São Paulo.
The lettering artists Gui Menga and Lygia Pires were called to write 30 complete poems and 200 verses that together made up a third of the exhibition.
We received complete freedom to chose styles while minding legibility and keeping the same formatting defined by each author. In one week we wrote over 2.500 words.
The exhibition was open to the public for 3 months and it was a complete success!

Em Junho de 2015, A exposição “Poesia Agora” trouxe obras de quase 500 poetas contemporâneos de todo o país para o Museu da Língua Portuguesa em São Paulo.
Os calígrafos Gui Menga e Lygia Pires foram chamados para caligrafar 30 poemas e 200 versos que juntos formaram ⅓ da exposição.
Recebemos liberdade total para a escolha de estilos, priorizando sempre a legibilidade e mantendo a formatação definida por cada autor. Em uma semana escrevemos mais de 2.500 palavras.
A exposição ficou aberta ao público por 3 meses e foi um sucesso de público e crítica!
