Carne de Caju
A commission to celebrate 10 years as a couple, with the lyrics from a song (Morena Tropicana from Alceu Valença) with a special meaning in their history.
Uma encomenda para comemorar 10 anos de um casal, com a letra de uma música que tem um significado especial na sua história.

Process
Creation begins by listening to the music, figuring out the rhythm and translating it to movement in writing the lyrics with a Japanese brush, seeking a composition in a text block that's harmonic and interesting, while maintaining legibility.
The next step is working with small sketches for the background in the shape of a cashew apple (caju). From that sketch, I will move on to the actual size using acrylics on watercolor paper. And, finally, writing the words without messing anything up, and adding final details and texture.

A criação começa ouvindo a música, entendendo o ritmo e traduzindo em movimento na escrita da letra com o pincel, buscando a composição em um bloco de texto harmonioso e interessante e ainda mantendo a legibilidade.
O próximo passo é trabalhar com pequenos rascunhos para o fundo na forma de um caju. Desse rascunho eu passo para o tamanho final, usando tinta acrílica em papel de aquarela. Finalmente, escrevo as letras sem estragar nada, e adiciono detalhes e textura.
